Variants & options
Shopify supports up to 3 option types per product (e.g. Size, Colour, Material) with a 100-variant cap. Product Upload maps detected supplier options into Shopify's option/variant structure on publish, including a Variant SKU, price, weight, and per-variant image where the source provides one.
Shopify category metafields
When you run the metafield populator on an imported product, Product Upload picks the closest Shopify Standard Product Taxonomy category and fills the attributes Shopify exposes for it (apparel gets material + size attributes, furniture gets dimensions, etc.) from the AI's reading of the source page.
Per-variant SKUs
Each variant comes through with its own SKU pulled from the supplier listing where present. You can review and edit SKUs in the draft before publishing — Shopify is strict about uniqueness, so it's worth a glance if you're republishing similar products.
