Privacy Policy for Product Upload
Effective Date: June 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Product Upload ("Product Upload", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website at https://productupload.co together with our related apps, plugins, browser extension, and platform integrations (the "Service"). It applies to every form of the Service, including our web app, Shopify app, WooCommerce plugins, Wix app, BigCommerce and other platform integrations, and our browser extension.
1. Who we are
Product Upload is an AI product importer that helps merchants add products to their online stores. Product Upload, the operator of https://productupload.co, is responsible for your personal information under this Policy. You can reach us about privacy at privacy@productupload.co.
2. Information we collect
a. Account information: your name, email address, and sign-in details. We use passwordless, email-based sign-in, so we do not store account passwords.
b. Billing information: when you buy a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details. We store billing identifiers and subscription status, not your full card number.
c. Connected store information: when you connect a store, we store the store's URL, the platform type, the access token or credential issued for that connection, and your store's locale and language settings. We use these only to create and manage products in your store.
d. Import and usage data: the search terms and filters you enter, the marketplace product identifiers you select, and any product page URLs you provide; the product data we retrieve and generate for you (titles, descriptions, images, variants, prices, SKUs, and inventory); and your import history, credit balance, and settings.
e. Support data: if you contact us through in-app chat or email, we collect the messages and contact details you provide.
f. Device and analytics data: as with most online services, we and our analytics providers collect cookies and similar identifiers, IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, and interactions with the Service. Some analytics tools record session activity (see Section 5).
3. What we do not collect
The Service is for sourcing and creating products. We do not collect or process your store's orders, your shoppers' personal information, or your customers' payment or card data. Our store connections request only the access needed to read store settings and to create and manage products. For example, on Shopify we request product, publication, location, and metaobject access, and not order or customer access.
4. How we use information
We use information to: operate the Service (search marketplaces, retrieve product data, generate and translate copy, and write products to your store); process payments and manage subscriptions and credits; provide support; secure, maintain, and improve the Service; and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Third-party services (subprocessors)
To run the Service we share the minimum data needed with the providers below. Each acts as our processor or as a service you direct us to use.
- Supabase: database hosting and authentication.
- Vercel: application hosting and content delivery.
- Stripe: payment processing (https://stripe.com/privacy).
- AI model providers, which may include OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google: generating and translating product titles, descriptions, specifications, tags, and SEO copy. They receive product attributes and prompts, not your store credentials or shopper data.
- Marketplace data and extraction providers, including RapidAPI-hosted marketplace data APIs, Firecrawl, Bright Data, and Crawlbase: retrieving product information from supported marketplaces and from product page URLs you provide. They receive the search query, product identifier, or URL you submit.
- ImageKit: fetching, converting, and optimizing product images. It receives the source image URLs being imported.
- Crisp: in-app support chat. If you open the chat, it receives your messages and your site URL.
- Mailgun and Resend: sending transactional and support email.
- Microsoft Clarity and PostHog: product analytics, including (for Clarity) session replay of your interactions with the Service.
- Ahrefs Web Analytics: aggregate website analytics.
- Sentry: error and performance monitoring.
We may update this list as the Service evolves. Where a provider processes data outside your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
6. Data sharing beyond subprocessors
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with others except: the subprocessors above; where you direct us to (for example, writing products to a store you connect); to comply with law or enforce our terms; or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this Policy.
7. Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for any period required by law. You can disconnect a store at any time from the relevant app or plugin, which removes the stored connection credentials. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email privacy@productupload.co.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, email privacy@productupload.co. You can also disable cookies in your browser, though some features may stop working.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or within the Service.
