The pages that break URL importers

Faire. Tundra. AliExpress when you’re logged in. Shopify Plus B2B portals. Amazon Seller Central. Anywhere a session, a captcha, or a JavaScript shell keeps a scraper out — the extension walks straight in, because it’s in your real browser.

How it works

Three clicks from supplier page to store

The extension uses your existing login and your existing import settings. There's nothing new to configure.

01

Install in one click

Add the extension from the Chrome Web Store. Pair it from your Shopify, Wix, or WooCommerce admin — no email, no password, just one button.

02

Capture from any product page

Browse a supplier site like normal — even ones behind logins. Click the extension icon and we capture the page from your tab. Variants, prices, images, all of it.

03

Lands in your import queue

Captures flow into your store with all your usual settings — pricing rules, status, collections, metafields. Open the app and watch them appear.

  1. 2
    Unzip
You’ll get a folder called dist.
  2. 3
    Open the Extensions page
Chrome blocks links to chrome:// URLs, so click below to copy and paste it into a new tab.
  3. 4
    Turn on Developer mode
Toggle in the top-right corner of the page.
  4. 5
    Load unpacked
Click Load unpacked and pick the dist folder. Then open Product Upload in your store admin and hit Pair extension — one click, no typing.

When the CWS listing goes live, Chrome shows a one-click prompt to migrate to the store version. Your pair stays intact.

Why an extension

Pages that fight back, captured cleanly.

Modern e-commerce sites are hard to scrape on purpose. The extension doesn’t fight that — it sidesteps it entirely.

Login walls

Wholesalers like Faire, Tundra, and B2B portals on Shopify Plus require an authenticated session to see a product. The extension uses your existing login — no shared credentials, no bot-detection trigger.

JavaScript-heavy SPAs

Sites built on Next.js, Nuxt, or React often render an empty shell on the server and hydrate the real content client-side. The extension captures the fully-hydrated DOM plus the embedded state blobs (every variant, price, image) that scrapers miss.

Bot detection (DataDome, PerimeterX, Cloudflare Turnstile)

Modern anti-bot systems block headless scrapers within seconds. The extension runs in your real browser, so the page sees a normal human session and serves the full content.

Region-locked products

Some suppliers serve different prices, inventory, or even product variants by IP. The extension captures whatever your browser sees, so what you import matches what you actually shopped.

What it does

Smarter than scraping. Slicker than copy-paste.

Captures the page the way your browser sees it — fully rendered, logged in, no missing variants. Then runs through the same AI pipeline that powers our URL importer.

Download dev build
  • Works on every site — adapters for AliExpress, Amazon, Etsy, Temu, Shein, and a JSON-LD fallback for everything else
  • Captures embedded state blobs (Next.js, Nuxt, Apollo) for richer variant data
  • Same AI enrichment as URL imports — original titles, descriptions, specs, tags
  • Auto-pairs to your Shopify, Wix, or WooCommerce store (no separate account)
  • Counts toward the same monthly quota — no extra subscription
  • Pre-applies your import settings — price multipliers, collections, status, metafields

Pairs with

Already running Product Upload? You’re ready.

Auto-pairs to your existing store with one click. No new account, no separate billing, no extra integration to set up.

URL vs extension

Same pipeline, two doors.

Use whichever fits the page. They share quota, settings, and the AI enrichment under the hood.

🔗Paste a URL

  • Public product pages
  • Bulk paste a list of links
  • Run from any device, including mobile
  • Can’t see logged-in pages
  • Sometimes blocked by anti-bot rules

Capture with extension

  • Works behind logins and paywalls
  • Sees the same content you see — variants, prices, images
  • Bypasses anti-bot detection naturally
  • Catches embedded JS state scrapers miss
  • One product per click (bulk capture coming)

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

  • When should I use the extension instead of pasting a URL?

Use the URL importer for public, scraper-friendly sites — that's the easier path. Reach for the extension when a paste fails: login walls, captcha, JavaScript-heavy pages, or sites that throttle our datacentre IPs. The extension uses your real browser session, so anything you can see, you can capture.

  • Does the extension work with my Shopify, Wix, or WooCommerce store?

Yes — all three. Pairing is automatic from inside the app: open the Browser Extension page, click Pair, and the extension links itself to your store. Captures land in the same import queue as URL imports and follow the same settings (pricing, collections, status, metafields).

  • Is this another Importify or Spocket?

Different problem. Those tools focus on a curated catalogue of pre-vetted suppliers. Product Upload works with any supplier — public sites via URL, locked-down sites via the extension. You bring the sources, we handle the import.

  • Does it cost extra?

No. Captures count toward the same monthly quota as URL imports. The extension is free with every Product Upload plan.

  • Will the extension see my passwords or credit cards?

No. The extension only activates when you click its icon, and it only reads the product data from the page you're viewing. It never touches form fields, password managers, or payment information. Source code is open for review on request.

  • What about Firefox or Safari?

Chrome and Edge are supported on day one. Firefox is on the roadmap (the WebExtensions polyfill is small). Safari support depends on demand — let us know if it's a blocker for you.

  • Can it auto-import a whole supplier collection?

Coming in a follow-up release. v0.1 is single-product capture per click. Bulk collection capture (with rate-limiting and bot-detection awareness) is the next milestone — sign up and we'll let you know when it ships.
