Shein Dropshipping on WooCommerce: How to Import Products (2026)
Shein is the cheapest fast-fashion catalogue on the internet, and apparel is the hardest category to dropship well. The realistic Shein to WooCommerce playbook: sizing and returns, mapping variations, the plugin install, and the margin math.

Selling Shein on WooCommerce
Shein is the largest fast-fashion marketplace in the world, with near-unbeatable prices on apparel, accessories, and homeware. For a WooCommerce store, that is a deep, cheap catalogue to source from, and WooCommerce's low running cost (no platform commission, just hosting and your payment gateway) suits the thin margins fashion dropshipping leaves.
The reason this guide spends more time on warnings than the mechanics: apparel is the single hardest category to dropship, and Shein is the hardest apparel source. Get sizing, returns, and presentation right and it works. Treat it as blind arbitrage and the return rate eats the business.
Is dropshipping Shein allowed?
WooCommerce has no policy against dropshipping, and reselling plain, unbranded Shein apparel you have the right to sell is generally fine. The real constraints are:
- Design infringement. Shein has faced repeated claims of copying designer and independent-artist work. If a piece obviously mimics a known brand or print, don't list it; the liability is yours, not Shein's.
- Your payment processor's rules. High dispute and refund rates, common with fast fashion, can get a Stripe or WooPayments account flagged. Honest sizing and shipping information is your best protection.
There's no Shein plugin (what replaces it)
Shein offers no public API and no official WooCommerce plugin, and the dropshipping plugins in the WordPress ecosystem don't pull Shein. The realistic path is URL import. The free Product Upload plugin takes a Shein product URL and publishes the listing to your WooCommerce catalogue with colour and size variants mapped, images pulled into your media library, and the copy rewritten so you are not shipping duplicate Shein text. You fulfill orders yourself, or move proven sellers to held inventory.
Installing the plugin and importing a Shein listing
- Download the Product Upload plugin .zip and upload it under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, then activate. It auto-connects to your store, with no API keys to copy.
- Copy a Shein product URL from your browser.
- Paste it into Product Upload.
- The app extracts the title, description, gallery images, and every colour and size variant, and rewrites the copy with AI so you are not publishing Shein's text verbatim.
- Review, add your size chart, set your price, and publish.

Variations
A Shein product with colours and sizes becomes a WooCommerce variable product: attributes (Colour, Size) generate one variation per combination, each with its own SKU and stock. Product Upload builds these automatically from Shein's variant data, so you don't assemble the variation grid by hand.
Size charts are not optional
This is the difference between a profitable Shein store and a returns-driven one. Shein sizing runs small and varies by garment, so a generic "S/M/L" tells the buyer nothing useful. Capture the measurement chart from the Shein listing and publish it on your WooCommerce product page (a size-chart plugin or a simple table in the description both work). Accurate measurements cut returns more than any other single change.
Categories
Set up WooCommerce categories (Dresses, Tops, Accessories) before a bulk import so products land in the right place and your shop filters work, rather than dumping everything into Uncategorised.
The Shein reality: sizing, quality, returns
- Sizing. Runs small and inconsistent across items. Always publish per-item measurements, not just letter sizes.
- Quality variance. Fabric, stitching, and colour can differ from the listing photos. Order samples of anything you intend to feature, and use your own photography where you can.
- Returns. Apparel returns run higher than any other category, and fast fashion higher still. Decide your return policy up front; you usually can't economically send a low-cost garment back to China, so most stores eat returns or offer store credit.
- Shein competes with you. Like Temu, Shein is a consumer app your customer probably has installed. Differentiate with curation (a tight, styled edit rather than the whole catalogue) and presentation, not price.
Margin math with apparel returns
The number that sinks fashion dropshippers is the return rate, so model it explicitly. A representative Shein item on WooCommerce:
| Shein product cost | $6.00 |
| Shein shipping | $3.00 |
| Payment gateway (2.9% + 30¢) | $1.10 |
| Ads (conservative blended CPA) | $9.00 |
| Returns reserve (~20% of apparel orders) | $2.50 |
| Total cost | $21.60 |
| Sale price | $29.99 |
| Net margin | $8.39 (28%) |
Note the returns reserve, which most beginners leave out and which is larger for fashion than anything else. Price apparel with that line built in, or a store that looks profitable on paper loses money on every third order. For a non-apparel, lower-return supplier, see the Temu to WooCommerce guide.
